Today had a special treat in store for anyone who ventured out after that rain passed. A double rainbow hit the civic center area around 3:30 pm and produced one of the strongest and brightest rainbows I’ve seen in Malibu. I was able to stop in to our real estate office and grab the company’s little digital and grab these shots. As a thank you to all the subscribers and followers of this blog I’m offering either of the two pics below as screen savers. The images will be emailed at 72 dpi and ready to be used on your computer. The first images has had the houses photoshopped out. I’d like to think that this is the view the Chumash would have enjoyed. When referring to an image the top can be called “creek shot” and the second “pier shot”. Quick real estate round up for Point Dume. More at www.pointdumehomesforsale.com
I closed a lot on Cliffside last week. Asking price was $12,500,000 and it was in multiples.
An older ranch home on Wildlife came on the market at $2.150m and quickly had two offers on it after numerous showings
An lease option was rumored to have been exercised on a home around $17m.
The listing at 28860 Selfridge got a price chop from $2,995,000 to $2,845,000.
The deal of the decade was the home that sold at 6805 Wildlife. It sold for $2,645,000 and had over 6000 sq.ft.

This blog focuses on something that only a very small percentage of the world could ever relate to….high-end real estate. I talk about $20,000,000 listings, and million dollar price reductions like it’s a totally normal thing for anyone to understand those numbers. I’m quickly humbled when I read about today’s deal at Groupon.com.
