Wal Mart ? The only way to get affordable shopping is if the city started zoning low rent districts for those businesses. Then we'd have to let politicians determine who deserves lower rent. Not sure what the solution is except to make sure we support the smaller businesses that need to stay. I would encourage people to support Lily's Cafe, Jaimme, Pinnacle, How's, Cholada, Clout, and all the other non-corporate, locally owned and operated stores in Malibu. Check out the list on the right of businesses owned and operated by Malibu locals.

The last thing Malibu needs is more high-end retail. What about putting in stores where the non-mega rich residents of the city can shop?
