Wham Mobile! Some new real estate marketing technology to get excited about! Text messaging to sell a home!

Published by Malibu Real Estate at 5:39 pm under Uncategorized

Last week Prudential Realty announced that they signed an exclusive deal with a company called Wham Mobile which allows potential home buyers the ability to pull up in front of a real estate sign and send themselves a text message with all the information about the home. This is such a great idea because with Whammobile you will no longer have to jump out of the car and race over to the plexiglass box to grab the paper listing information which is often empty. The other benefit is that areas like PCH often have heavy traffic on summer days. Imagine how many thousands of drivers will pass by a sign that can send  information just by dialing a few numbers! Want to know what the future of real estate marketing looks like? A sign in front of the home with a website (www.123mainstreet.com)  and a text message number.  Try this. On your mobile phone enter the numbers 555999 then look for the option to send sms text. Text the word Realtor1 then send. You should receive info about a home in seconds.  Check out the YouTube video below and click here to read more at my Real Estate Tips Site.

I sell Santa Monica real estate and westside L.A. real estate. I think that this is a cool new technology. I’m pretty sure coldwell banker, the real estate broker I work with, has this same new technology.

I have a bit more about this on my blog at my web-site: Santa Monica Real Estate

This looks like a useful tool. I could see consumers seeing alot of value in this.

Neat post, hadn’t heard of this use of texting before. AFAIK Coldwell Banker doesn’t use this yet (I’m an agent in Tucson, AZ).
