There are several great homes for sale on Point Dume in Malibu but one really stands out as being a great buy. If someone asked me what the best buy in the Point is I’d have to say the home at 6805 Wildlife Road. With an asking price of $2,800,000 it has several major pluses. First, it’s about a 20 second walk to the beach along a private trail out of the backyard. Second, it’s big..really big with apprx. 6100 sq.ft. and has a rental unit that Pepperdine students love to rent. Lastly, it’s nice, clean, and was reduced from $3,800,000. There is no ocean view but you will hear the surf cracking on the shore at night! The house also carries deeded beach rights which means you will get a beach key!

There’s a really great condo complex that sits on the corner of Heathercliff and Dume Drive with a unit for sale at an incredibly low price. The two bedroom condo has beach rights to the gate on Grey Fox and has a two car covered garage. The Unit is listed at $625,000 and would be a great purchase to rent out to Pepperdine students. There are two homes now on Point Dume that are heading in to a price range that most people would say is a good price. Both of these Malibu homes for sale have beach keys to Little Dume beach. These are deeded beach rights which make the homes more valuable than the ones that don’t have the rights. Real estate activity on Point Dume has been heating up with several homes receiving offers and some heading in to escrow. There are three homes under $2.5m that have been very busy on the weekends with showings lined up back to back by the listing agents. The best real estate deal on Point Dume is the little ranch house on the corner of Fernhill and Wildlife. The house is “Leave It To Beaver” original ranch style and appears in very good condition. I’ve personally been to this house several times and love the open floor plan and high ceilings. The beach is a short, 3 minute drive on a golf cart, there’s a good sized back yard, and near Point Dume Marine Science elementary school. The price has been reduced and someone is likely to secure a great Point Dume property at a fair price.
