Sit down and get ready for this……$2,275,000 for a D-luxe mobile home in the Point Dume Club! No, I didn’t accidentally include an extra zero. That’s the going rate for the most expensive mobile home listing in Malibu and possibly the world. So what are you getting you ask? You get a huge ocean view and are seconds from the shores of Zuma beach. The place is more like a home than something with an axle but you still need to register it each year with the DMV. Can’t roll like that? There are some single wides for under $350,000 but they look more like sardine cans that homes. But still better to be a sardine in Malibu than a big fish in Elko, NV. There’s some great slasher films that traumatized me as a kid….My Bloody Valentine, Friday The Thirteenth, and Halloween, but this may be the most horrific slash I’ve seen since! A Point Dume Club mo-bile home that was once listed as high as $1.45m has been chopped to $595,000. The home has been offered for sale on the Malibu real estate market for a lengthy 1440 days and now sits at a price that will likely get it sold. The home was thoroughly redone and by the looks of it, you’d never know you were in a mobile home unless someone had you crawl underneath for a peek at the axle. The coach features big ocean views, an upscale master bath, and is a short stroll to the sand. It’s a great price now and worth a look. Another Malibu Mobile Home Closes for Over $1,000,000

A dee-lux coach located in the Point Dume Club has recently closed for $1,060,000. The unit, with panoramic views of Zuma beach and the Channel Islands, hit the Malibu Real Estate market in March, and with a few price reductions, closed for a price that you could have purchased large mansion in Texas. Let me tell ya’all…there’s nothing mobile about this mobile home! What you need to know about mobile homes in Malibu is that you are allowed to do some traditional “stick built” construction including foundations and 2×4 framed walls. That’s why this one looks like a regular beach home with an expansive interior. This may very well be the nicest examples of modern design in a mobile home park.
